Created as part of A Fantasy Zine collaboration, Dragon War is a universe centred around two kingdoms of dragon riders who have been locked in a territorial conflict for over 40 years.
The volcanic Southern kingdom is led by the Twin Kings, and faces a shortage in resources and land for farming. Unable to continue sustaining a growth in population.
They find themselves at war with their neighbours, the much more lush and plentiful Northern Kingdom, led by a young and newly appointed queen. Both seek control of the bordering mountains - an area that had been considered neutral previously due to its use as the dragons' nesting ground.
Shown below it the final outcome of the project, a double spread page for the zine that captures a key moment in the story, a battle between the monarchs of both kingdoms.
